Untitled (St. Louis Convention Center Piece) Nickel took a found 4’x8’ sheet of plywood and cut it into arcs of the same degree. He rotated each piece three inches to the left and reassembled the sheet on a framework that allowed the surface to undulate. Net loss: 2 pounds of sawdust. The piece was exhibited at the inauguration of the new St. Louis Convention Center. |
