Three Forces Nickel cut up three 12-foot weathered fir 6-by-6-inch planks and reassembled them to illustrate three forces: compression, bending, and “wind tunnel.” He used the idea for a student project when he taught a 3-D Design course at Washington University, asking his students to create two forms, one using a force and the other illustrating the force. |
